The buzzzz...

Hi, welcome to my blog. I am a photographer specializing in wedding photography and family portraiture. I left the commercial photography world several years ago and teamed up with my wife to start a wedding and portrait photography business. I consider myself blessed to do what I love to do, creating beautiful pictures of people, for people! I work in new outdoor locations all the time and I love it. I love creating memorable images in both colour and fine art black and white. We are located in beautiful Victoria, British Columbia where we provide photography for all of Vancouver Island as well as The Gulf and San Juan Islands. We are also privileged to provide photography to the greater San Francisco Bay Area for destination weddings as well as anywhere in the US.

Jacob & Rachel's Engagement Session!

Recently I had the opportunity to photograph Jacob and Rachel’s engagement session.  I had a great time getting to know them both and am looking forward to their wedding day.
The day kept teasing us with a potential rainstorm.  We had postponed the shoot in the morning and in the afternoon we decided to go for it anyways.  I’m happy we did as we had lots of fun photographing in Beacon Hill Park in Victoria and along the Coast.
And a special thank you to Megan for her help assisting with the gear and lighting.  I’m glad we didn’t take a stumble on the slippery rocks in the near pitch dark at the beach :>)
Here are a few of my favorites pictures.
And Jacob, thank you for showing me the "Starfish".

The Pianist

I had a fun assignment yesterday photographing David Archer of Soundstone music. David is a composer and pianist and finds himself playing at all sorts of venues around Vancouver Island.  We held our photoshoot in Downtown Victoria at The Magnolia Hotel And Spa which is an incredibly beautiful four diamond hotel, ranked as one of Canada's top hotels by Conde Nast Traveller.  Here are several of my favorite pictures.

Flower Power!

Back to the blog!  It's been a little while since I have blogged.  I'm again blaming Facebook for diverting my attention away from my blog.  I've been very busy meeting new people on the island and I'm blessed to say I have been booking a lot of weddings here in Victoria.  The Bridal Exhibition this past January was very successful in allowing me to meet lots of couples and wedding venders.

Recently I have been looking through my archives of pictures lately for images of brides and flowers for a little project I'm working on (more about that later).

I'll go ahead and post some of my favorites.  Flowers are such a pretty aspect of
every wedding!
