The buzzzz...

Hi, welcome to my blog. I am a photographer specializing in wedding photography and outdoor portraiture. I left the commercial photography world several years ago and teamed up with my wife to start a wedding and portrait photography business. I consider myself blessed to do what I love to do, creating beautiful pictures of people, for people! I work in new outdoor locations all the time and I love it. I love creating memorable images in both color and fine art black and white. We are located in beautiful Victoria, British Columbia where we provide photography for all of Vancouver Island as well as The Gulf and San Juan Islands. We are also privileged to provide photography to the greater San Francisco Bay Area for destination weddings as well as anywhere in the US.

...In with the NEW!

If I had a theme in my life these days it would be "in with the new and out with the old." Translation; If I haven't touched it or used it in five years, it's gone!!!

In anticipation of our move to Victoria, BC we have been donating lot's to Salvation Army. We have also completed a makeover on our blog and website colors, adding new content and launching our new logo.
Inka, the creative force and owner of Green Ink Studio created a beautiful logo for us. Thank you Inka for all your hard work and patience!
And hey, we can all use a little plug so go ahead and check out Inka's work at
www.greeninkstudio.com She is a graphic designer covering everything from Brand Identity and Business Solutions to Website Development and most importantly Inka is a joy to work with!

Take care,
Paul

"GO MODE"

...as we head down our new path into British Columbia we sure are in "go, go, go, mode." When I took this picture in 2005 at Matheson Lake during my first visit to Victoria I never dreamed it would someday be "home".

It is less than three weeks now to our move to Victoria and we are all excited. Adam can't wait for the airplane ride. I have decided to rent a moving truck and make the drive myself so I'm optimistic the pass into Oregon won't have any snow. It's about a 20 hour drive from our place near San Francisco to the ferry crossing for Vancouver Island.

We have our boxes, tape guns, and good attitudes ready to go. This past week has been all about pairing down; lots of Salvation Army donations.

I have reserved a booth at the largest Bridal Show in Victoria this coming January 17th at the Pearkes Recreation Centre. I'm looking forward to meeting local vendors and excited brides and grooms as everyone prepares for the 2010 wedding season.

Time sure passes quickly these days!!
